Description:
Capability Enhancement Night is a free event hosted by Trinity with the goal of providing an environment for community members to get together, have discussions, sharpen skills, and improve on areas of individual interest. This is an open-house style event - whether you can stop in for 30 minutes or two hours, we hope to see you there! Several stations will be set up with a few of our instructors present to answer questions, assist at the stations, and ensure the evening is as helpful as possible.
Event Flow:
Several stations will be available to utilize throughout the evening. Examples of stations include but are not limited to:
Smokeless Range
-This is a virtual firearm simulator that utilizes training pistols and detects shot placement. This training tool has the ability to simulate virtual shooting environments such as shoot-no-shoot walk throughs, static targets, a dueling tree, decision making drills, etc. All of which will be rotated throughout the evening by staff members present.
Stop The Bleed
-A STB station will be available to spend time with tourniquets, wound packing blocks, chest seals and other devices at your own pace.
CPR / AED
-CPR dummies and AED trainers will be available for practice and use at your own pace.
-Reference material will be at the station to brush up on things like compression rate.
Gear & Gadgets
-Holsters, flashlights, magazine pouches, body armor, and more! We will set up a table with a plethora of items for you to look at, test out, and even have some inert training pistols available that can be utilized to train the drawing process, evaluate comfort, and explore these items however you’d like.
Snacks and Info
-Text books, promotional material from manufacturers, and more will be set up in our lobby area along with some snacks to be looked at and explore reference materials that are available.
Objective:
We aim to create an environment for individuals to get together, engage in helpful discussions, sharpen skills of their choice, become more familiar with their gear, explore options, and do so with individuals that share similar interests and goals.
What to bring:
Nothing is needed but you are welcome to bring gear, gadgets, reference material or anything else you’d like to utilize throughout the event. We only ask that you bring friends, share this event, as we hope to make these training tools and information as accessible to members of our community as possible.
Safety:
Due to the nature of this event we will ask that loaded firearms not be present while utilizing the Smokeless Range station. We strongly encourage concealed carry as a part of your lifestyle and only take this step to ensure that we do not have a muscle-memory driven accident in a training environment. We are not asking that you refrain from carrying during the event, just that particular station within the event. If bringing a SIRT Pistol, Mantis Blackbeard installed in your firearm, or similar training equipment you would like to utilize - please notify one of our team members upon arrival and we will verify the condition of the training equipment and that it is incapable of accepting live rounds at that time.
