Come join the Start Skydiving crew for a Mixed Formation Skydiving scrambles event! The plan is to come have fun with your friends and learn about MFS with a friendly Scrambles-style competition.
Time: 0800 Start time
Location: Start Skydiving
Mixed Formation Skydiving (MFS) combines belly flying, back flying, sit flying, and head-down. Our goal is to have an intermediate pool and an advanced pool. Intermediate will include belly, back, and HU. Advanced will include belly, back, HU, and HD. We encourage you to check in with us even if you aren’t sure about your skill level!
“Scrambles” means you will be paired with a different partner each round.
The hope will be 5-6 jumps, drawn from the MFS dive pool. We will add up each individuals points from each round to determine the winner and then celebrate the winner over dinner, bonfire, and beer!
The prize is eternal glory.
These will be 2-way dive flows and each round you’ll be paired with a new group of three. One individual each round will take a turn flying outside video. We will give more details/rules during briefing day of the event.
Bring a good attitude! We’re aiming for lots of laughs amongst the ninjas and growing talent alike.
Invite your friends!
-Advanced: must be able to safely fly head down through an entire skydive, approach formations with full control on your head, and understand proper HD break off. Ideally, the flier have no issue taking docs on your head but, we’re here to have fun and can work with anyone safe/in control on their head and through break off.
Intermediate: Head-Up, Belly, and Back only! Participants must have the ability to move and fly safely while Head Up, on Belly, and Back. Ideally, flier would be able to take HU docks on command but, we’re here to have fun and can work with anyone safe on their feet and through break off.
**for anyone interested who can only fly back/belly, and can get 9 others to join you of the same skill level, we can organize a beginners only pool. Check in with Thomas Stimpert for more details.**
REGISTRATION:
There is a $5 entry fee for beer and dinner provided Saturday evening! To register, confirm “going” on the event page and DM Thomas Stimpert to confirm your participation. We will collect $5 day of event.
