The Gibby is proud to introduce Lights Up, a recurring art exhibit series presented in partnership with Everett Theatre's live stage productions.
The current exhibit runs through Tuck Everlasting: The Musical and features watercolor artist Gerilyn Gaskill.
Opening Reception: Friday, October 17, 2025 6-7pm
Gerilyn captures the beauty of the Delaware coastline and Delmarva landscapes through watercolor. Her artistic journey began in kindergarten, nurtured by her great-grandfather, artist August Seiler.
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, she spent many summers in Rehoboth and Lewes. Gerilyn's full-time career took her from Delaware to Riverside, California, and Baltimore, Maryland, before she retired in December 2008 and returned to her beloved home state. Drawn by the call of the ocean, Gerilyn now resides closer to the beach in Georgetown.
Active in the regional arts community, she is a member of the Millsboro Art League, Milton Art Guild, Rehoboth Art League, Mispillion Art League, and the Art League of Ocean City.
When she's not painting, Gerilyn teaches others to paint in multi-week courses and beginner workshops. For several years, she has organized and taught art camps for local youth at the Millsboro Art League. She is also a regular instructor at the Rehoboth Art League, Art League of Ocean City, and the Milton Art League.
