Reimagining Middlesbrough

The first of a series of creative workshops exploring the spirit of place. Funded by Borderlands, the project will involve a series of group visits to places of collective significance and personal connection and invite people to contribute their own poetry of place to a published anthology that investigates the shared spaces of the town, maps memories connected to various locations, tells the stories of the streets, and celebrates the rich diversity of Middlesbrough through poetry that expresses the deep connections between people to place.

At this initial workshop we will explore the places of personal attachment and identify the nine locations for our future visits.
