News, Myths and Artificial Intelligence

Many searches for information take place online using browsers across websites and social media. Browsers are influenced by their previous search history using algorythms that, amongst other technicalities, have the effect of "steering" and producing a bias in the way urls are presented. Social media relies mainly on information posted by users and is inherently biased.

Articial Intelligence engines can analyse a much wider range of Internet data, but is the resulting presentation less influenced by human bias? How do the results from different IA tools compare and contrast.

This meeting is designed to investigate how suspected myths and scams can be examined by humans/browsers/social media and results compared with what common AI tools can produce. A hat full of suspected myths and scams will be chosen from at random to investigate.
