About the event

Art + Social no27
MIMA, Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art, warmly invites you, your family, and your friends to our upcoming Art + Social event on Thursday 26 March, from 17:00-19:00.
For a quieter experience please join us between 16:30-17:00.

This seasons Art + Social is packed full of opportunities to meet artists, play, and enjoy the evening with friends and friends you haven’t met yet.

The evening will include integrated BSL interpretation and will be photographed by Nana Kofi Asamoah-Adu.

Throughout the Building
Students from Teesside University’s BA Fine Art and Photography programmes respond to the current Middlesbrough Collection exhibition, In Motion. Their work spans a range of media and offers fresh perspectives on our celebrated collection artworks

Professor Simon McKeown presents Images of Disability, an exhibition of historical and contemporary images and texts revitalising creative disability research and practice.

DJ & artist Sally Rodgers (AMCA) will perform a live guest mix specially curated for the evening. Expect a mix of ambient, Italio-disco, and post-punk art-pop.

Galleries, Ground Floor
