MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Marlene Marcos is a dynamic performer, facilitator, educator, and coach. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from Florida International University and is a recipient of the National Society of Arts & Letters Acting Award. Her acting credits span stage, film, television, national commercials, and voice-overs—both in English and Spanish.

As an instructor, Marlene has taught at the New York Film Academy (Miami), Florida Film Institute, New World School of the Arts, Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, and Just The Funny Theatre in Miami, FL—where she co-owned the company for over a decade and served as Vice President of Education.

Marlene has traveled the country performing and teaching acting and improv at major festivals and theaters, including Spontaneous Combustion and Dad’s Garage (Atlanta, GA), Dallas Comedy Festival (TX), The Nestival (Columbus, OH), Curious Comedy Theater (Portland, OR), Sarasota Improv Festival (FL), First Coast Comedy (Jacksonville, FL), and the Miami Improv Festival (FL), which she also helped produce.

Passionate about connection and creative expression, Marlene leads workshops in both English and Spanish on acting, improv, creativity, confidence, and communication. She is easily bribed with coffee.
