Free Family Fun Day: Celebrating Juneteenth

Juneteenth is a time for celebration and reflection with the whole family. This day honors the abolition of slavery in our country. Learn about Miami’s vibrant Black History with a special highlights tour of our permanent exhibit Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida. Enjoy a video presentation showcasing stories from Black Miami featuring local storytellers. Make Kente inspired jewelry and participate in our community mural.

Family Fun Days are possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, the Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners, and the Miami Downtown Development Authority.
