The United Church of Christ in the Philippines – Rainbow 5 Village (United Christian Community Church), or simply UCCP-R5, as most of us fondly call it, is more than just a place of worship. For many of us, it is home.
As we gather once again for our anniversary celebration, we do so not just as a congregation, but as one household of faith united in Christ’s love. Whether you have been with us since the very beginning or have just joined our fellowship recently, you are part of this family. And as a family, we celebrate the God who has been our refuge, provider, and guide through every season of our journey.
Theme:
“UCCP-R5: Reunited in Celebration of God’s Faithfulness as One Family in Christ”
This year’s theme is a joyful reminder of the journey God has brought us through. “Reunited” speaks of coming together again, not necessarily because we were divided, but because in the busyness of life, we sometimes find ourselves distant in presence, involvement, or connection. This is our call to gather once more as brothers and sisters, rekindling the warmth of our fellowship and the strength of our unity.
“In Celebration of God’s Faithfulness” affirms that our story as a church is first and foremost a story of God’s steadfast love. Through every trial, triumph, and transition, His grace has sustained us, His hand has guided us, and His promises have never failed.
“As One Family in Christ” declares our identity, that regardless of our backgrounds, roles, or life stages, we belong to one household of faith. Just as a family shares in one another’s burdens and joys, so we are called to love, serve, and encourage one another as members of the Body of Christ.
Our celebration is guided by the 5Rs, each representing a way we live out our unity and faith:
Reconnect – Renewing and strengthening our fellowship with God and one another.
Rise – Standing firm in faith, ready to face the future with hope.
Rejoice – Offering our highest praise and thanksgiving for God’s blessings.
Radiate – Shining God’s light and love in our daily lives.
Reach Out – Extending our hands to serve the community and share Christ’s love.
The poster design shows people of many colors encircling the Cross, symbolizing unity in diversity, bound together by the love of Christ. The sun rays and open sky reflect God’s light shining upon our congregation, while the green leaves represent life, growth, and fruitfulness.
At the center is the phrase “Tapat ang Diyos” written in Baybayin, the ancient Tagalog script, meaning “God is faithful.” This powerful declaration affirms our church’s testimony through the years, that in every season, God’s steadfast love and faithfulness remain the foundation of our life together. It serves as a fitting reminder for our anniversary celebration, as we look back with gratitude and move forward with hope.
