Open-Floor Dance Experience

We will collectively use the impulse of music, breath, and relationship – to gravity, the space, sound, and the groove we create – to take you deeper into your natural movement. We will dance continuously for one hour.

Our focus will be on the awareness of the body’s structures and processes as it moves through space, rather than performance or looking "good". The practice’s essence lies in slowing down enough to observe what's happening through kinaesthetic sensing.

The underlying purpose or aim is to experience the different parts and layers of the body coming together. With the assumption that when the body can be sensed as a unit we have access to use it in more creative, spontaneous, and effective ways (including the mind).

Enjoy the release and energy that movement brings!

Bring water and something comfortable to move and sweat in. We will be moving barefoot. No shoes are required, but you can wear them if needed.
