Hi everyone, We're holding Part 2 of our tunic class where we will draft custom-made patterns for our 'Egyptian' medieval tunic.
If you couldn't come to Part 1, don't worry - we'd love to see you, and we'll get you caught up.
Please try to be on time as this is a hands-on workshop and you'll need all the time available to finish the project.
You'll need to bring your own supplies for the project (we'll have limited items to share).
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Your class handout
- Brown craft paper, or shower curtain liner, or cheap non-stretch fabric (need yards to draw your pattern)
- Large brown mail envelope or zip-loc bag (to store your pattern pieces)
- Marker pen
- Pencil
- Yard-long ruler
- Measuring tape
- Paper-cutting scissors
We might not get to sewing in this class, but to plan for the next stage you will need:
- 3-5 yards fabric (no stretch) - cotton, poly-cotton, linen, wool, fleece, upholstery weight (no backing)
- Tailor's chalk or ballpoint pen
- yard-long ruler
- Measuring tape
- Fabric-cutting scissors
- Pins
- Seam ripper (just in case!)
- Thread to match fabric
- Fabric weights (optional)
- !!! SEWING MACHINE !!!
- Bias tape (optional for neckline) - should be 'extra-wide, double fold'
