Like playing 40K competitively but don’t enjoy standing at a table for 9 hours??? Then this is the event for you!!
This is a standard 40K RTT with all its intended rules. However, instead of it happening in a single day, it takes place over six weeks and is comprised of three phases. One game is played per phase.
Phase 1 - Aug 18th - Aug 31st
Phase 2 - Sep 1st - Sep 14th
Phase 3 - Sep 15th - Sep 28th
FAQ’s & Update: Will NOT be applied if they are released after the event has started.
Pairings: Will be announced the night before each phase begins. I will then contact everyone with their opponents email so they can coordinate and get their game scheduled. Being in the discord or Facebook 40K community chat is highly encouraged. It helps significantly with scheduling.
**If you have received no contact from your opponent within 48 hours of pairings going out, contact Mike Hall. Phase dates are firm! If you cannot get a game scheduled with your opponent due to conflicting schedules, contact Mike Hall. Games not played during the phase time limit will result in scores of zero.**
Lists: Once lists are submitted, they cannot under any circumstances be changed for the remainder of the event. 2,000 point armies.
Location: Games must be played at the shop.
Missions: We will be using the new 2025 Chapter Approved mission deck. If you don't have one we will provide one for you.
Entry Fee: $25 per person (100% of entry fees go to the prize pool) you must be paid before the tournament begins, no exceptions. You can pay in the shop at the counter or paypal @northcoastgames.
Prizing: Awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & Best Painted and more!
Rounds: Each round should last no longer than 3 hours. This is on the players to enforce. Either player has the right to stop the game at the 3 hour mark. Players should note the time the game begins before beginning the game so there is no confusion.
**If you and your opponent are on the same page, and want to continue on after the three hour mark, then go ahead and do so. As long as opponents communicate effectively and agree on when the game will end, this shouldn’t be a problem.**
Judging: This is where being in the discord or will come in helpful. If you have a question during the game, your first step should be searching the 40K list builder rules to find the exact rule in question. This is completely free in the app, no subscription required. Most of the time players can read the rule together and find the answer. If there is still a question, post a message in either the Facebook chat or the 40k Organized Play channel. More than likely someone can and will offer some guidance. Ultimately it is up to the players to decide the ruling.
Slow Play: Be mindful of how long your turns are taking. It is very easy for a game to become lopsided on turn time. It is between players to monitor and manage play time. Chess clocks are allowed.
Max Participants: 40
Army Size: 2000 points
PAINT: Is not required but is heavily encouraged! Everyone gets 10 points for painted regardless of paint.
EMPHASIS: The focus of this event is to have fun! With no judge present, it is imperative for players to be cool and patient with each other.
