the French Home Baker **NEW CLASS!**

When you think of French baking, you may envision extremely advanced pastries like croissants or mille-feuille, but French home baking is often MUCH simpler, yet elegant and delicious! C'est tres bon, mes amis :-)

Learn how to make two staples of the French home bakers' repertoire: gateau aux pommes (a classic apple snacking cake) and broye du Poitou (salted butter shortbread-cake).

In this class you'll:

• make two recipes completely from scratch: apple cake and a broye
• learn the rubbing-in technique of mixing
• learn how to do the creaming method by hand
• practice your knife skills and prepare apples & flavorings
• have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together
• learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes
• take home what you made as well as the recipes for everything you made in class
• enjoy a guided tasting of berry pie while you learn the 5 steps to tasting like a pro!

ABOUT MUDDY'S HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES

Muddy's hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun! Class sizes are small so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Your instructor will demonstrate every step of the recipe and be available as you try each step yourself. You will have your own work table and will complete the entire recipe... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!

Who should participate? Anyone age 15+ who is looking to learn, wants to have fun, or just enjoys baking in company.

Are classes wheelchair accessible? Our tables are height-adjustable, so if you need special accommodations, just let us know ahead of time and we'll be sure to have the table and your spot all ready for you!

What about cancellations? Classes are small and space is limited, so all ticket sales are final. Please check the date/time carefully before booking. If you cannot make it to your class, you may gift your ticket to a friend. If Muddy's must cancel the event for any reason, we will inform you asap and fully refund your ticket.
