Join us on Saturday, 28th June 2025, from 7:45 PM to 9:15pm for a Rewilding Event, as we sink into the untamed beauty of the Oakham Canal. As the sun sets we’ll step away from the rush of daily life and into the slow, wild rhythms of the earth.
This 90-minute journey invites you to experience Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) the art of reconnecting with the land through your senses. It’s not about doing, it’s about being.
What to expect:
- Opening Invitation, We’ll begin by slowing down, grounding ourselves into the space with mindful breath and intention.
- Tree Connection You’ll be guided to wander gently, letting yourself be drawn toward a tree that calls to you. There, you’ll spend time quietly connecting — observing, sensing, simply being with it.
- Canopy Gazing: We'll lay back or sit beneath the trees, gazing up at the shifting canopy as twilight deepens, letting the forest speak in the silence between breaths.
- Guided Meditation: A simple, nature-rooted meditation will help you deepen your connection to the wild world within and around you.
- Tea Ceremony : We’ll close our time together with a shared wild tea ceremony, honoring the land, the sunset, and the community we’ve created.
This gathering is about rewilding your spirit peeling back the layers of busyness and remembering your deep belonging to the living world.
Hosted in collaboration with the Green Corridor Project, this event is an invitation to return home to your senses, your breath, your wildness.
Spaces are limited to keep the gathering intimate. Reserve your spot, and step into the beauty of the dusk.
Come as you are. Leave a little wilder. Come and experience the magic of the Trees along Oakham Canal Green Corridor with us.
