Inspired by country, folk and rock, Thom Johnston is a singer-songwriter originating from Geelong, now based in Naarm/Melbourne.
In collaboration with April, their upcoming single ‘Shiver’, captures the ache of wanting to help someone who isn’t ready to be saved.
Driven by jangling guitars and a heartbeat-like rhythm, the track swells with emotional urgency. Thom’s raw, evocative delivery blends seamlessly with April’s haunting, spellbinding vocals - creating a powerful duality that’s both intimate and anthemic.
After previously playing in Melbourne venues; The Retreat, Bar Oussuo, The Bendigo Hotel and many more, Thom Johnston will be taking on the iconic Bar Open on September 4th 2025 for the single release of ‘Shiver’!
