BOUQUET by Shoko Ishida

Shoko Ishida, a.k.a. YODAKA is a Japanese illustrator and artist based in Michigan, with BFA in Illustration from College for Creative Studies. She’s mostly known for her delicate portraits with eye-catching shapes and uses negative spaces to give a feeling of the unusual. Inspired by music, fashion, nature, the nostalgia and her daydreams, the illustrative storyteller creates her mixed media works for stories and galleries. Some of her clients include Penguin Random House, Erewhon Books, and Harper Collins, and have shown works in galleries around the world.

PARADISIA by Courtney Brims

Courtney grew up in the outskirts of Brisbane collecting dead beetles, dressing up as Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” and drawing pink unicorns and prehistoric birds. She graduated with a degree in interior design from Brisbane's Queensland University of Technology before becoming a full-time illustrator in 2008. Since then she has had numerous solo shows across Australia and the US and collaborated with national and international brands. Courtney’s work explores her curiosity with the natural world, specifically the interplay between prey and predator through adaptation and metamorphosis. Behind the ornamental and ethereal charm of flowers, animals and female figures lies the cunning and unsettling underbelly of nature. She depicts scenes where animals become entangled within weaving hair and vines, nesting in skeletal remnants that hint at humanity’s impermanence.

“A cornucopia of native wildlife. Courtney Brims is an artist who wholly celebrates personal connections to nature, especially within the Australian landscape. She goes beyond the mere surface, exposing the intimate, mysterious aspects of the hidden world that is usually relegated to the periphery. Her illustrations are reminiscent of a magical realist dream, a place where imagination takes precedence within the backdrop of the real world. We only need to look at Courtney’s work to become reconnected with our child-like mind, the one that finds beauty and playfulness in the everyday that surrounds us. Ultimately, Courtney Brims is one of those rare artists who can create new perspectives, and who inspires us to look beyond and beyond until we ourselves are reborn. It’s more than a call to nature; it’s a call to becoming.” - Andrea Kovacic

THE ART OF GETTING LOST by Miriam Frank

Miriam Frank (b. 1985 in Munich, Germany) is an interdisciplinary artist, working across illustration, fine art, and tattooing. She studied Communication Design (Master of Arts) in Augsburg, Germany, focusing on illustration.

Pen on paper, brush on canvas, hands on clay, saw through wood, tattoo needle under the skin. Miriam Frank is particularly interes- ted in materials and surfaces, experimenting with different dimen- sions and tools. Her distinctive style combines bold lines, playful forms, and vibrant colors. She finds inspiration in nature, travel, and pop culture. In particular, the drifting Tokyo and the lonely nature of Iceland are recurring themes in her work.

Miriam is based in Munich and works internationally as a guest tattoo artist and regularly exhibits her mixed media artworks in galleries and art fairs.

QUIET COMPANION by Lisa Han

Lisa Han (b. 1992, Seoul, South Korea) is an artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Though she comes from a medical background, she rekindled her long-lost passion for art during the city’s lockdown. Her pieces primarily feature women — and occasionally cats — evoking a serene, whimsical atmosphere. Inspired by Japanese pop culture and traditional woodblock prints, her work is defined by bold, vivid colours and elegant simplicity. In addition to painting, Lisa also works as a tattoo artist, bringing her artistic style to life on skin.
