Join us for a Seasonal Yoga Series introducing the concept of Ritucharya - the practice of adapting our lifestyle, diet, and activities to align with the seasons. Ritucharya is rooted in the belief that nature offers us wisdom and guidance as we navigate through its rhythms. Seasonal Yoga is a practice that modifies and aligns yoga postures, breathing techniques, nutrition, and meditation with the 6 seasons of the year (Early Summer, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring). Seasonal Yoga acknowledges that we are cyclic beings and as we move through each season, we honor the unique energy and its impact on our bodies and minds. By embracing the energy of each season, we allow ourselves to cultivate Sukha and Sthira (ease and steady) to deepen our connection with nature, ourselves, and each other.
In this series we will discuss asanas or postures for each season, explore pranayama/breathing practices that can be harnessed in conjunction with the energy of the season, highlight meditation and mindfulness practices, and discuss seasonal nutrition.
Each Seasonal Yoga Workshop will consist of a 1-hour Seasonal Discussion and a 1-hour Seasonal Yoga Practice.
