EPSTROFI
Comprises of some of Australia's best known musicians with a repertoire spanning from 1910s to 1970s.
Achilles Yiangoulli - Composer/arranger, recording engineer/producer, musician, guitarist, vocalist, bouzouki/tzoura player, choral conductor and producer.
Jacob Papdopoulos - a Bouzouki soloist, born in Thessaloniki, Greece and has been studying and playing the bouzouki from a young age. He has participated in music festivals, concerts and theatrical shows. Jacob has performed as bouzouki soloist in concerts staged by Musical Odyssey featuring the works of Hatzidakis, Xarhakos, Theodorakis and Loizos. He took part as Bouzouki Soloist for the sell-out recently acclaimed Taxithi, An Australian Odyssey, nominated for the Green Room Award for Best Ensemble in independent Theatre in 2017. Jacob has brought a modern avant-garde approach to the bouzouki through the experimentation of sound and technique, which has been heard within various musical genres such as gypsy-swing, flamenco and jazz. This has given him a range of different teaching methodologies as well as a diverse appreciation of various cultural perspectives. He teaches the bouzouki, tzoura and baglama.
Nick Koutsaliotis is a highly sought after Bouzouki player who performs a wide repertoire of Greek music - all eras - and has played in a multitude of festivals and tribute shows.
