Join us for a magical night under the stars at Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge as we gather to witness one of the most spectacular celestial events of the year—the Perseids Meteor Shower! Known for its bright, fast meteors and high hourly rate, the Perseids offer a dazzling display that’s not to be missed.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and binoculars, and settle in beneath the dark skies of the refuge for a peaceful evening of stargazing. Our Educators will be on hand to share fun facts about the Perseids, meteors, and the night sky, along with tips on how to spot the most shooting stars.
Enjoy the sounds of nature at night, the chance to explore our trails briefly at dusk, and the awe-inspiring experience of watching the sky light up with streaks of light.

This program begins at 8:00pm and runs 1hr+ depending on our findings, not to exceed 90 minutes. Ages 8+ please. $15/adult, $10/child. Members save 10%! 20 participants maximum. Advanced registration required.
