A Yoga Playgroup for Parents with Babies, Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers
Have you "graduated" from mums and bubs yoga but would like to continue your yoga practice with your little crawler in tow? Are you a second-time mum who's struggling to find a yoga class you can take both your children to? Or perhaps you just never get to carve out the time at home to get on your mat because the little ones demand all your attention?
Then Flow and Grow Family Yoga Playgroup is for YOU!
This is a safe, inclusive space where you can move your body, breathe deeply, and connect with other adults, while your little ones play or join in the fun. There’s no pressure for anyone to be quiet - laughter, tears and snack breaks are all welcome!
We're all in the same boat, and each week will be a little different, meeting you and your child/children where you're at.
What to expect:
We’ll begin with a slow and gentle start as we settle into the space, followed by:
- Welcome songs to help everyone feel at ease and get our bodies moving.
- Yogasana-based movement (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) for grown-ups to stretch, move, and possibly even relax a little. ;)
- Opportunities for children to join in the movement if they feel like it.
- A little sprinkle of yoga philosophy to support your parenting journey.
- A story to nourish the imagination and bring a calm end to our session.
- A goodbye song to close the session.
Feel free to bring more than one child and stay a while after the end of the formal part to enjoy herbal tea and a chat with the other parents, connecting with new friends and building community.
All parenting journeys are welcome and no previous yoga experience is required.
