McKinney High School Presents: The Lion Swing – A Community Swing Dance Event

McKinney High School’s Mane Attraction Jazz Ensemble is proud to host the return of The Lion Swing a lively community swing dance taking place on Saturday May 3 2025 at McKinney High School. The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the MHS cafeteria located at 1400 Wilson Creek Parkway McKinney TX.

For one evening only the MHS cafeteria transforms into a swing-era dance floor complete with live big band music refreshments and good old-fashioned fun. Guests will enjoy performances by the Mane Attraction Jazz Ensemble and the McKinney Dance Band featuringspecial guest vocalists throughout the evening.

A silent auction will also be held featuring a variety of generous donations from local businesses and community members. All proceeds from ticket sales and auction items benefit the McKinney High School Band Booster Club supporting the ongoing success of the MHS Band Program.

“We’re thrilled to bring back The Lion Swing” said Brandon Fisher Head Band Director. “It’s become a wonderful tradition that brings our community together while directly supporting our students and music programs.”

Tickets are $25 per person whether purchased in advance or at the door.
