Elections on the Square

Event Overview:
Join us in the heart of Downtown McKinney for Elections on the Square, a lively celebration combining the excitement of local elections with the charm of the community.

On May 3, 2025, voters will elect representatives for the following City Council positions:

• Mayor
• District 1
• District 3
• At Large 1

As McKinney residents cast their votes for a new Mayor and City Council, Mitchell Park will come alive with:

• Live music from the Creek Bed Drifters
• A variety of food trucks
• Real-time election results displayed on a community chalkboard

Whether you're a longtime resident or new to McKinney, come celebrate our community’s spirit and engagement!

Free and open to the public
No tickets required

Parking & Accessibility:

• Free all-day parking available in the lot behind the stage.
• Additional free parking options within walking distance include two covered parking garages (Davis Street and Chestnut Street), 13 uncovered public lots, and convenient on-street parking.
• Wheelchair-accessible event area.
