Pieces for Peace Workshop
Saturday, January 10, 2026, 11AM
131 N Broadway, McComb, MS 39648
Participants are invited to share their personal visions of peace by creating original artwork as part of the CITYarts Pieces for Peace Project. Youth and community members will reflect on the question “What does peace look like to you?” and express their ideas through drawing, painting, collage, or mixed media.
Selected artworks will become part of Pike School of Art — Mississippi’s local Pieces for Peace collection and be submitted to CITYarts for inclusion in the national 50 States of Peace Initiative, joining voices from across the country and around the world.
No prior art experience is required—only a willingness to imagine, create, and contribute to a shared global message of peace. Through this project, participants become part of an international movement that uses art to foster dialogue, understanding, and hope.
Youth from 126 countries have voiced their hopes for peace through the CITYarts Pieces for Peace Project, and their ideas have started a movement. Their art has been featured in a traveling exhibition that has toured the United States, Spain, Egypt, Germany, Israel, Belgium, and more. It has inspired 7 Peace Walls in New York, Pakistan, the U.K., Germany, Israel, Spain, and Belgium. In 2023 the CITYarts 50 States of Peace Initiative was created, and 48 states have participated so far. Visit
