MLK Day of Service – Community Clean-Up

Join us on MLK Day as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service and community action. This year’s project supports the Keep Burglund Beautiful initiative and supports organic and community-based revitalization efforts within the historic Burglund district.
The community clean-up will begin at the corner of Summit Street and St. Augustine Avenue ( Gertrude's Garden) and extend to the surrounding streets throughout Burglund Heights and adjacent areas.
Event Time:
The clean-up begins at 10:00 AM and will last approximately one to two hours.

What to Bring:
Trash bags, grabbers/pickers, gloves, and any additional clean-up supplies you may have. If you don’t have supplies, please come anyway—your participation alone makes a difference.
Who Can Participate:
Everyone is welcome—individuals, families, churches, student groups, civic organizations, neighborhood groups, and volunteers of all ages.
Why Participate:
Make it a day on, not a day off. Serving together strengthens our community and advances Dr. King’s vision of service and unity.
Dr. King reminded us that “everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
