Maxton Ultimate Reunion: Tailgate Takeover 2025

The Maxton Ultimate Reunion is an annual tailgate designed to unite Maxton alumni of all classes to celebrate community and school pride.

About this Event

Event Guidelines:

• There will be a NO non-sense policy enforced. If in violation, you will be removed from the premises by law enforcement and/or security.

• Attendees will follow park guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and respect for public property. $50 will be refunded to each class if your plot is free of trash.
• Alcohol will be permitted but must be in non-branded/ #MUR cups (no visible cans or bottles).
• Heavy-duty trash bags will be required for waste disposal, and all attendees must clean up after themselves.
• No illegal substances, fireworks, or weapons will be allowed.
• Service animals are permitted, but pets will not be allowed.
• Generators (small and low-noise) may be used for power needs.
• Parking and supply unloading will follow an organized process to maintain park accessibility.
• Be respect and pack your patience as there will be a lot of people in attendance. Remember, we're here for a good time not a long time!
• Most importantly cherish this (the right now). We’ll never get this back. Enjoy!

Setup & Unloading

Info: Classes and Vendors will use this time to set up their tents and unload their supplies. All vehicles must be off the grass & alcohol must be at your plots by 10:30 AM. No exceptions.

Judging of T-shirt, Tent & Cooking Contests

Info: There will be 3 trophy winners for the best T-shirt, Tent & Cooking (Best Ribs).

Memorial Ceremony & Scholarship Presentation

Info: We will use this time to have a moment of silence for our fellow classmates that are no longer here with us. In addition, we will be honoring a Maxton Graduate from the class of 2026 with a scholarship on behalf of the Maxton Ultimate Reunion Tailgate Committee.

Battle of the Classes: Games & Activities

Info: Classes will come together to play Games & Activities (Tug-of-War, Kickball, Cornhole, Water Volleyball, etc.). Prepare to get dirty and/or wet.

Wrap-Up, Cleanup, and Closing Fellowship

Info: Everyone will use this time to clean up and load their vehicles. Absolutely no trash should be left at the park! It is all of our responsibility to keep our community clean. No exceptions.
