Fire Island Wilderness Backcountry Campout

Registeration Required. For the Adventurous Only!

This trip is for those ready to embrace the wild side of Fire Island. We’ll hike 2 miles to a remote backcountry campsite—no amenities, no facilities, just you and the elements. You’ll need to pack in everything—food, shelter, and clothing—for a true backcountry experience.

Itinerary:

Friday 06/13/2025: Hike in 2 miles to our campsite and set up.
Saturday 06/14/2025: A 10-mile hike to Davis Park and back, exploring the beauty of Fire Island’s dunes, beaches, and maritime forests.
Sunday 06/15/2025: Pack up and hike out in the morning.

Logistics:

Overnight parking is limited to 3 cars, so we’ll coordinate a carpool meetup beforehand.
Only 12 spots available—first come, first served!

Required Gear:

Tent
Sleeping bag
Sleeping pad
Canister stove
Headlamp
Food & water for two nights and one full day
