Our next rally is on Sunday 13th July and we're planning, weather permitting, to set up our obstacle course!
There will be three sessions - with the opportunity to walk the course without your horse starting at 9.45am:
10.00 am (new to obstacles & green horses)
11.00 am (for those that have done an obstacle course before)
12noon (experienced horses so can ride the course)
NOTE: maximum of six people in each session to ensure everyone is safe.
If you are new to obstacle courses - we recommend that you spend the first 15 to 20 minutes walking your horse around the obstacles to find any 'sticking' points that you can work on from the ground. We will have Jill Eastham (our obstacle builder and demonstrator extraordinaire) and other MARC Committee members there to assist you. Once you and your horse are happy with the obstacles, feel free to ride the obstacles for the last part of your session.
TAKING PART: If you are interested in taking part, please email me back with your preferred, and a back-up, session time.
PAYMENT: As Jill is our builder and demonstrator - she has requested (instead of payment for all her hard work) for our attending members to pay $5 for this activity so we can make a donation to our local ambulance service. Please also remember the ground fee of $15 still applies - this can be paid preferrably online (Masterton Adult Riding Club: 02-0688-0147966-00) or to a committee member on duty.
