How to Start a Food Forest

How to Start a Food Forest Workshop happening Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August!
We are now offering a two-day Food Forest Workshop that will give you the confidence and skills to create your own Food Forest. The Workshop will be useful for people from both urban and rural backgrounds- the principles and skills you learn are applicable to both small and large land-holdings.

We will teach you how to design, implement, and maintain a food-producing ecosystem that mimics natural forest patterns. We will cover topics such as:

Designing your Food Forest
Planting- what to plant where
Maintenance of your established Food Forest
Food Forest as a business opportunity
The Workshop will be hosted by Food Forester Deb Butterfield. Deb has over 24 years experience growing a Food Forest and is the kaitiaki for the 4-acre Tinui Food Forest.
