PRAISE IN THE PARK – SUNDAY, JULY 13 – 10:30
This Sunday we will be gathering for worship at the Martins Ferry Park for an outdoor service, picnic, and swimming! Members of the Scotch Ridge Presbyterian Church will be joining us in this community event. Our youth group has reserved the stage at the park and a pavilion at the pool for the day’s activities. Our informal service will begin at 10:30. The service will consist of many praise songs, a couple testimonies from Tom Zambori and Jared Estock, a time of prayer and a short message by Pastor Joe Ellis entitled “Like a Rock.”
Please pray that the Lord grants us good weather. Bring a picnic lunch for yourself and/or your family. We’ll have a time of fellowship after the service, and anyone who wants to go swimming with our youth after the picnic is welcome to join them. We are also putting together a praise band with the following members: Marty Green on keyboards, Ryan Shirley on base guitar, Holly McCormack on tambourine, my son Joseph Ellis on electric guitar, and me, Pastor Joe, on acoustic guitar. We definitely aren’t professional musicians, but we hope to make a joyful noise.
Invite your friends, family and neighbors to come along. We are excited about the possibility of people from the community showing up and worshiping with us. Pray that the Lord blesses this event and pours out God’s Spirit upon us. See you at the MF park on Sunday!
