Silent Book Club

Marshalltown LGBTQ+ is excited to invite you to our second year of Silent Book Club! We’ll meet twice a month at a local outdoor venue to enjoy reading and connect with fellow bookworms. 😊📖🪱

Join us at our selected location to connect with other members, chat, swap books, and make new friends. We’ll have a designated area for book swaps as well.

Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair, your favorite beverage and/or snack, and of course, your book! We recommend bringing bug spray, sun glasses & sunscreen as well. We’ll spend the first 30 minutes chatting and swapping books, then find a cozy spot to relax, read, and enjoy the atmosphere.

If reading isn’t your thing, feel free to bring along activities like crocheting, painting, drawing, etc. We encourage everyone to disconnect from their phones and fully enjoy the experience. There’s no cost to participate, and all ages are welcome! Kids and teens under 16 should be accompanied by an adult. Thank you, and we can’t wait to connect with you.
