Dragon Training Academy Storytime

Join us on the West Lawn for this special Dragon Training Acedemy storytime with special guest inventor & time traveler Brock Barnabas, who will train some adventurous kids to travel back in time to defend against and tame an overpopulation of dragons!

Upon completion of the audience's training, Brock Barnabas prepares to transport the kids to the past - but inadvertently draws a dragon right to your event! Kids get to use their newly learned skills to deal with the dragon in the room. After the show, enjoy a "meet and greet" with a baby dragon (animatronic puppet.)

Free summer lunch (free for kids ages 1 - 18 years) is served afterwards, picnic-style, on the lawn.

Please bring a blanket or towel to sit on the grass, or lawn chairs are welcome around the edges of the crowd. No pre-registration is needed for families or groups of fewer than 8 kids; preschools or other organizations wanting to bring a group to storytime are asked to call ahead to the youth desk at 641-754-5738, ext. 3 to check for options.
