The team behind The Resonance Sessions, an audiovisual hurricane relief project, is excited to invite you to our Vinyl Release Party on Saturday, July 5th in Marshall, starting at 4pm on the patio at Zadie's Market!
In October, just a few weeks after Helene ravaged the town, 35 artists gathered in the freshly-shoveled-out and powerwashed Old Marshall Jail building to record a moving collection of songs to benefit the region, and a selection of those artists will gather there again to celebrate the collection's physical release, to commemorate the progress that has been made, and to continue building towards the future.
July 5th's show will include:
- A set of songs by Dr. Dog, performed in 4-part harmony by Scott McMicken and Lil Frankies
- A collaborative set by Slow Packer, Night Walks, and Zack Kardon
- Clever piano pop offerings by Slow Runner
- Fiddle tunes by Casey Driessen
- Traditional ballad singing by Sarah "Songbird" Burkey
- Intimate sets by Ryan O'Keefe (of River Whyless), and the High Divers.
A night that will not soon be forgotten.
The event is free to attend! Vinyl records will be for sale and Zadie's will have their delicious selection of food and beverages ready to satisfy the masses.
If you haven't yet visited Marshall since the town has reopened, now is the perfect time to make the trip. Come support all of your favorite local businesses that have reopened this year and witness the inspiring progress that has been made in rebuilding the town.
The recovery of WNC belongs to all of us.
