Bioremediation Workday @ Rollins Community in Marshall

Join us for our 2nd workday in the Rollins neighborhood in Marshall, on the banks of the French Broad, to plant trees and learn about the Bioremediation and streambank restoration projects that are underway!

Billy Bond, of Perma Pastures Farm will teach about the bioremediation techniques that he is using, plus share his strategy and results from soil testing thus far.

We will discuss:
-techniques for planting fruit trees
-how to plan and plant fruit tree guilds and companion planting
-bioremediation techniques
-strategies and lab sources for soil testing that you can trust
-soil test results in Rollins
-plans for large scale streambank restoration along the whole shoreline

And we will plant lots of fruit trees, native trees, native shrubs, and understory plants! This will be phase 2 of the planting plan; phase 1 was completed earlier this year.

BONUS: Soil testing results will be available to discuss since bioremediation started until now, showing much improvement and hope for bioremediation on a large scale!
