𝗧𝗬𝗗𝗘 - 𝟴-𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝙟𝙖𝙯𝙯/𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣
Meanjin 8-piece powerhouse TYDE brandishes a rich soundscape that ebbs and flows between jazz, prog, pop, funk, and folk. The majority female 8-piece have a truly genre-fluid sound, and their energetic live show has been described as a "dynamic prog odyssey". TYDE will have you both grooving to infectious hooks and trying to work out what time signature you're dancing to. Their repertoire calls to mind artists like WILLOW, The Cat Empire, COVET, Hiatus Kaiyote, Vera Blue, and Franz Ferdinand.
TYDE have receivedTriple J support for their releases, played 5 shows at the 2024/25 Woodford Folk Festival, successfully toured the East Coast and throughout Alpine VIC, have headlined 'Can't Touch This' Festival, and also played festivals including Bluesfest Byron Bay, Brisbane International Jazz Festival, Airlie Beach Festival of Music, and more.
Dink - 4-𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝙟𝙖𝙯𝙯/𝙛𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣
Four-piece Eora/Sydney-based group Dink is a fast-emerging Jazz-Fusion thrill. Currently playing a range of shows around Sydney. After debuting in 2022, Dink forged ahead in 2023/24 with a multitude of shows traversing the Sydney, Melbourne and regional scene, and are continuing the ascent with their recent single 'Side One' out on all platforms, coupled with sold out show’s across Sydney. Having recently travelled interstate in July to promote the new releases, they already have another energetic single, ‘Mixture’ out on all platforms, with plans on touring in July 2025. Whilst offering exciting interpretations of favorites, it’s Dink's striking and experimental original compositions that are known for intersecting a unique range of styles and genres - inspired by the likes of Steely Dan, Yussef Dayes, BADBADNOTGOOD, Chick Corea and Weather Report. Dink is at once an homage to past greats and a breakthrough into the future.
