Hailing in from Naarm's (Melbourne) Northside, four peace future funk, spirit soul, jazz band, Dakini Cuddle come to play in the city to make their DEBUT appearance in the Sydney Music Scene. Playing alongside local legends & friends; the virtuosic, afrobeat, nu jazz, funk, house ensemble, Haztet. This is going to be a special show with a lot of different expressions of music. Hard to describe, but delightful to watch... don't miss out.

Dakini Cuddle

In Hinduism and Buddhism, a dakini is a female deity, spirit, or energy that represents wisdom, power, and enlightenment. The term "dakini" translates to "sky dancer" or "sky dweller," reflecting their free-spirited and energetic nature. Dakinis are often depicted as beautiful, powerful women, sometimes with fierce expressions, and are associated with various aspects of the path to enlightenment.

Unsigned and fresh into Melbourne's Music Scene, Dakini Cuddle is a future funk, spirit soul, jazz band lead by powerful female soul vocalist & visionary artist Ty La Moonchild. The band includes incredible sonic genius' Gabe Coleman on keys, Oliver George on drums & Rory Wilson on bass. The band come together and create electric & imaginative music, in the hopes to expand or enlighten the viewer & leave them with an after glow. Audience goers say at times that the performances are tight, inspiring & even mind-blowing sometimes. As elevated as they can get, they also get deep and ooze a very down to earth nature. As a group, they are constant at pushing musical boundaries and developing their style, which is yet to reach its potential.

After releasing their debut single "MOTIF" at the beginning of the year, Dakini Cuddle have been making waves in their Northside Pond. Excited to release a 5 TRACK EP later this year, a potential single is planning to be released by the end of June called, "PAINT MY SKIN" just before the group leave for their EAST COAST TOUR: "The Journey is Greater Than the Destination" playing shows in Brisbane, Byron Bay, Sydney & Katoomba. It really is part way a celebration & adventure.

As the band is infrequent to the gig scene in Sydney, you'd be silly not to check OUT them out.
