A brand new Festival is coming to Quex Park with literally something for everyone over 10 days of activities that span the generations offering entertainment and engagement for the whole family.
Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd is the date for the Isle of Thanet Food & Drink Festival, showcasing local, regional, national and international produce together with crafts, street foods, bars, live music, cooking demos and food competitions.
Alongside the food fest there will be a children's adventure playground area with fairground rides, games, face painting, story-telling and some surprise magic shows.
Not convinced? Well what about an ale and cider festival that runs in tandem with the food fest and children's area? The best results of Kentish beer brews and cider ferments in a summer selection that will take some getting through. But we know you will give it a good go….
And then, if we have not yet grabbed your attention, there will be two nights of stand-up comedy, because we know that there is no one who doesn't like to laugh and our line-up of comedians makes that a foregone conclusion.
From Monday 4th, Quex Fest slows down a little in order for us all to catch our breath before the second weekend. That does not mean that the entertainment is turned off, just tuned down to allow for a series of day and evening time talks, quizzes, comedy, music and presentations from clubs and individuals covering a range of subjects.
Food and drink from our bars and pop up kitchens will still be available throughout the week and the children's adventure playground will remain open and going strong as we build towards the weekend.
And for the grand finale we will certainly be tuning up guitars and engines - Friday 8th to Sunday 10th is Motor Mule Weekend as classic cars and bikes assemble for an unrivalled display of vintage vehicles. Simultaneously, the curtain goes up on main stage once again as the Mule Music Fest delivers a mix of country, blues, soul and rock n roll over three days of kick ass celebrations.
