This fabulous line-up comes together to raise funds in support of legendary DJ, producer and Black Science Orchestra member, Ashley Beedle.
Having previously battled Stage 4 prostate cancer, Ashley was dealt a devastating blow when he suffered a brain bleed and seizure due to the rupture of a brain mass.
A major stroke followed which robbed him of his power of speech and led to a loss of movement in his leg and arm on one side. Despite enormous challenges, Ashley has proved himself to be a fighter, surmounting all odds with an incredible sense of humour and determination.
Currently in a Margate nursing home, and thanks to extraordinary care and support from the NHS, and his hugely spirited and loving partner, the iconic DJ Jo Wallace (Ramrock Hi-Fi), Ashley has regained a good amount of speech. But a lot more work is required to improve his mobility. Money raised from this event will go towards adapting a more comfortable new home environment and continued daily physio.
Ashley’s recovery so far allowed him to be part of the recent Black Science Orchestra remix of Primal Scream’s 'Love Insurrection'. Further recovery and funding support will allow Ashley to continue making great music.
