Saturday 19th July: Victoria Hosegood on The Thanet Archaeological Landscape Mapping Project
Saturday 26th July: Dr Pete Knowles on “The Lost Worlds of the Palaeolithic, the evidence from East Kent”
AND special guests Trevor and Vera Gibbons share their fond memories working with Tony on her excavations. They will show a selection of artefacts illustrating Bronze Age/ Early Iron Age 2000-600BC; Middle & Late Iron Age 400BC-400AD and Mediaeval 13th&14th CenturyAD.
Trevor and Vera have painstakingly recorded every archaeological artefact in our collections, have published three detailed papers for Archaologia Cantiana and continue to share their time, expertise and memories with the museum.
