Join us for wine, supper and a thought provoking evening about community, connection and our capacity to face future challenges like natural disasters. Fire, flood, drought and unexpected events have an ever increased chance of happening, and when they do, we’re stronger together.
Celebrating the launch of Equip Witchcliffe, the night will include a short film, panel of special guests and community catchup. Whether you’re local to the core, have just moved here, own or rent, live on property, a bush block, in-town or one of the newer sub-divisions, we welcome you. The guest panel will include Bridget Ikin (filmmaker), Zac Webb (Cultural Custodian), Rob Gherardi (Mr Barval), Mike Rumble (Mindful Margaret River), and Associate Professor Warren Bartik (Equip project lead, University of New England).

About Equip: Witchcliffe is one of nine Australian towns selected to take part in the 5 year Equip program and research study. It’s focus is building disaster resilience by growing community connection, well-being and lasting solutions. It'll include a local input group, community events, free training programme and followup studies. Funded by the Medical Research Future Fund, the project is led by the University of New England (NSW) with the WA team based at Curtin University.
