Pony Club Badge Session – Equine First Aid

Price: £23 per child (optional badge £5 for Pony Club members)
Join us for our next Pony Club Workshop, where we’ll be learning all about Equine First Aid!
This 2-hour, practical and informative session is part of our Pony Club Achievement Badge series and is ideal for young riders who want to learn how to recognise when a pony is unwell and what to do in an emergency.
During this session, riders will learn:
🐴 How to treat minor wounds and illnesses safely and calmly
👀 How to recognise the signs of good and poor health in ponies
💉 Why ponies need regular Tetanus and Flu vaccinations
🪱 What a worming programme is and why it’s so important
🚑 How to recognise and describe minor conditions such as punctures, lameness, swellings, and colic
💊 The importance of seeking help from an adult or vet when a pony seems unwell
We’ll use demonstrations, discussion, and interactive activities to make this session both engaging and confidence-building for all participants.
Badges:
Pony Club members can purchase the official Equine First Aid Badge for £5 to celebrate their learning and add to their growing collection.
Who can attend:
Open to both Pony Club members and non-members (only members can receive the official badge).
Suitable for ages 6 years and up.
All experience levels are welcome – we adapt the session to suit the group.

Suitable footwear and clothing for being around ponies

A willingness to learn and care for ponies!
