In our triple-digit summers, there's no better place to be than poolside.
That's why we're meeting up at the new Marana Aquatics and Recreation Center, 13455 N. Marana Main Street. This brand new public pool opened in May and the facilities include a splash pad, two water slides, diving boards and a beach-like pool entrance that gently takes you into deeper waters.
Since this is a casual meetup, we'll be there with other members of the community, and everybody will be responsible for their own admission.
ADMISSION PRICES:
For Marana residents who live in zip codes 85653, 85654, 85658, 85741, 85742, 85743:
Youth (2-17): $4
Adult (18-61): $6
Senior (62+): $5
For non-Marana residents:
Youth (2-17): $5
Adult (18-61): $7
Senior (62+): $6
Drop by to swim and say 'hi' any time between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Friday, August 1.
PARENTAL SUPERVISION:
This is a meet-up of all ages, so parents, please plan to stick around. Kids need to be supervised by a parent or guardian — plus we want to hang out with you, too!
MONSOON NOTE:
Check your email before you head out to the pool. If monsoon weather forces us to change our plans, we'll send you an email on Friday afternoon to everybody who registered. The center's policy requires the pool to be shut down for 30 minutes following a lightning strike within 10 miles.
