"Hear The Voices" - Orchestra & Chorus

Resident Conductor Teresa Cheung leads the EMMF Orchestra for an evening of unforgettable music!

The evening's music line-up includes:
Overture to Prince Igor by Borodin
Ballad for Strings by Cowell
Ode for St. Cecilia's Day by Handel

Choral Director Peggy Dettwiler leads the chorus to accompany the chorus in Handel's 'Ode for St. Cecilia's Day,' a tribute to the patron saint of musicians. The setting for this cantata is a poem written by John Dryden in the mid 1600's that suggests that music was a central force in the Earth's creation.
