The 40th Annual Ronald McNair Challenger Open Golf Tournament

The Brothers of Epsilon Iota Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., are pleased to announce that the Epsilon Iota Foundation will be hosting the 40th Annual Ronald McNair Challenger Open Golf Tournament on Saturday, July 19, 2025. This year’s tournament will be held at Shadow Glen Golf Course in Manor.

Dr. Ronald McNair was one of the NASA astronauts that perished in the Challenger Space Shuttle explosion in January 1986. Dr. McNair, who was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, was a shining example of commitment to Omega’s Four Cardinal Principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. Hence, the Brothers of the Epsilon Iota Chapter chose to recognize Dr. McNair’s life of sacrifice and service by naming this golf tournament in his honor.

The golf tournament is a fundraiser for the Epsilon Iota Foundation. The Epsilon Iota Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Epsilon Iota Chapter, and it makes charitable donations and scholarship grants on behalf of Epsilon Iota Chapter. The Foundation is tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3), Internal Revenue Code. Proceeds from this year’s tournament will fund Epsilon Iota Chapter’s scholarship grants to area students entering college as freshmen.

The fee will be $120.00 per golfer. The fee covers the following:

• Green fee

• Cart

• Range balls

• Golfer gifts

• Breakfast snack

• On-course snacks

• Prizes

• Lunch

The Epsilon Iota Foundation is also seeking sponsorships, which are tax deductible.

We are offering four different levels of sponsorship:

$2,500 Platinum level
sponsorship includes:

· Large hole sign on the First and Ninth holes of the course (Marketing team at the event),

· Photo with the Epsilon Iota Chapter and Foundation leadership and scholarship recipients,

· One 4-person team spot for the organization (4-person spot could be donated)

$1,000 Gold Level
sponsorship includes:

· Hole sign one either the longest drive or closest to the pin event hole on the course,

· Photo with the Epsilon Iota Chapter and Foundation leadership,

· One 2-person team spot,

$500 Silver level
sponsorship includes:

· Hole sign on the course,

· Listed as a sponsor on the Epsilon Iota Foundation website,

· Logo on the Golf Tournament flyer (as a sponsor).

$250 Bronze level
sponsorship includes:

· Company logo on a golf cart during the event
