Metal Flower Birdhouse with Solar Light

We will be cutting and forming the aluminum flashing into flowers and forming the petals with tools. I will have the cedar and weathered wood birdhouse bases made ahead. Some wood will be old cedar fence boards and some will be old weathered barn or shed boards. Woods will vary in looks and height but all will have character. These birdhouses will be faux birdhouses, but you could easily add a wood box on the back to make it functional.
These birdhouses will come with a solar light hanging from a wrought iron bracket on the top OR you can choose not to add a light and bracket for a reduced cost.
I will have a few different options to use as the flower center and I will have a selection of flower pots for the bottom of the birdhouse. We will add a bit of faux grass and moss, but these pots could easily be planted up with real outdoor flower arrangements. I will also have a various collection of phrases and images to use for a sign on the birdhouse to make it perfect for you!
Due to the size of this project, I'll be keeping class sizes on the small side. Please make sure to MESSAGE my Art on Clark fb page to reserve your spot for this class. If you know ahead of time that you want a tabletop version please let me know so I can have a base ready for you.
We are at 1402 Clark St. Manitowoc WI, in the historic Clarkbridge Hall building. We are located on the 1st floor, east side, middle of the building. I always have the East Door unlocked for classtime. The building does have handicap access located at the back of the building but I will need to know ahead of time if you need me to unlock that door.
