About the event

Planet D Nonet at First Street Beach!
Detroits multi-award winning "little big band" brings their down and dirty swing back to Manistee Shoreline Showcase! Led by band leader and drummer, RJ Spangler, PD9 plays classic favorites from Basie, Ellington, Strayhorn, along with old school R&B hits, sprinkled with more modern tunes with a Motor City vibe.

We're sure to hear a few tracks off of their latest album "Doctor Professor Leonard King: In Tribute to Joe Williams"!

Our inclement weather site is the Orchard State Park Beach House at 2064 Lakeshore Drive, about a mile off off US-31.

Concerts are always FREE of charge, but your donations are always very appreciated to keep this great music coming to Manistee!
