🌱 Community Garden & Composting Day🌱

Join us at the Sophia Street Community Garden for a fun and hands-on garden day hosted by the Great Start Collaborative!

Join us as we kick off the gardening season with a fun and meaningful day in the dirt! We’ll gather at our GSC-sponsored garden bed to plant seeds, learn the basics of composting, and reconnect with nature — and each other.

🌱 Here’s what we’ll do:
– Check on the garden’s progress and plant new seeds where needed
- Clear out weeds from our garden bed
– Enjoy a nature-themed story and a light snack together
– Turn and add to our compost pile (families: please bring your compost!)
– Learn how compost helps our plants grow strong and healthy

👩‍🌾 Don’t forget to bring:
– Gardening tools (if you have them)
– Clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
– Your curiosity and helping hands!

This is a free, family-friendly event, perfect for families with kids ages 0-8, older siblings welcome. We’ll have a small snack station available, and it’s a great opportunity to connect with other families while growing something beautiful together.
