This year we are planning on having only one work party, mainly for bringing up all the food and stores for the season, and to give the club its annual spring clean (even though its Autumn!)
The NEW DATE is the weekend 17/18 May (the weekend following mothers day weekend). This is always a busy but fun time and very fulfilling. Many of our new members (in waiting) have been hanging out for the opportunity to undertake their first work party, and this is it!
By doing the work party you receive the following benefits:
As a 'waiting list member', you will then qaulify for full membership
All the nightly rate costs, including meals, are of course completely covered through your attendance and hard work.
A $75 per person work party levy refund from last year's annual invoice for subs, if you are fully paid senior member.
Two free nights (by way of a credit for the upcoming season) if you are a fully paid up senior member, and
Senior members taking their cars, and giving a ride to others, will receive a $200 contribution to their fuel costs,
Members/waiting list members aged 15+ should volunteer for this weekend.
Normally children under 15 can't come to work parties, because of hazards like ladders, painting, skillsaws, etc. But this year's work party won't be involving those activities.
Accordingly, children under 15 (but over 5) are welcome with parental supervision.
See your latest club newsletter for contact details to register.
