St Tammany DPEC - Special Meeting

The sole purpose of this special meeting shall be to consider and vote on two proposed amendments to the DPEC bylaws. No other business shall be conducted at this meeting.

This special meeting is called by petition of DPEC members constituting not less than thirty percent (30%) of the full membership as required by our DPEC's bylaws. The meeting is open to the public but the nature of the meeting requires that only the matter outlined above may be discussed.

Two motions will be brought forward at this meeting.

MOTION 1

Motion to adopt proposed bylaw amendment to Article 8, Section 1., changing the requirement for submitting future bylaw amendments to be submitted to members by email rather than by standard mail.

MOTION 2

Motion to adopt proposed bylaw amendment to Article 4, Section 5: Removal of Officers, striking the current policy that states “Any officer may be removed from office in the same manner as the removal of a DPEC member
as outlined in Article II, Section 3, of these Bylaws” and replacing it with the procedure drafted by our Parliamentarian, Leyla Hekmatdoost.
