Native Louisiana Mushrooms

Join us for a presentation and guided nature walk led by Jordan Gros, Biological Engineer and founder of Mycocentrics—a local company specializing in functional mushrooms.

We’ll be exploring the world of fungi: their vital role in ecosystems, their historical significance, and how they continue to influence our lives today. With a focus on Louisiana’s native mushrooms, this event is designed to help you feel more confident and curious about the fungi in your own backyard!

Together we’ll learn the numerous ways incorporating mushrooms into our lives can support our health on an individual, community, and planetary level. We hope you can join us!

The presentation will take place at Fontainebleau State Park's Visitor's Center, and the guided nature walk will take place on an adjacent trail in the park. Please register at the RecDesk link on the "Tickets" section of this event. Registration is $15.
