Rusted Chains is Berkshire County’s premier tribute to the music of the ’90s. Serving up a diverse mix of grunge, alternative, and pop rock, Rusted Chains delivers renditions of songs from the era with the energy and individuality that defined the decade.
If you remember “MTV Unplugged,” where the decade’s biggest bands played acoustic versions of generation-defining hits, then you’ve got a good idea of what Rusted Chains is all about.
All four members of Rusted Chains sing lead and harmony vocals, evoking the ’60s and ’70s pop and folk influences that shaped ’90s music. When they turn it up and rock out, you’ll hear the echoes of 70s rock — and never guess that they’re mostly playing acoustic instruments.
The members of Rusted Chains each bring a diverse range of musical influences to the band, from jam bands to disco, metal, blues rock, and everything in between. They are:
Michael Bates, guitar/vocals.
Thomas Dion, guitar/vocals
Jeff Slade, cajon and percussion/vocals
Greg Sukiennik, bass/vocals
What started as a fun side project for open mic nights at Berkshire County pubs and taverns turned into a band that routinely plays three hours for its dedicated fans. Rusted Chains celebrated its one-year anniversary this past spring with a well-received opening set at the Stationery Factory in Dalton, one of the Berkshires’ top venues for live music.
Beer & wine will be available for purchase by Nature’s Market. Patrons must be age 21+ with a legal ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.
